About InvestHAQ

Truth in every figure.

Haq means truth. In English it reads as a hack - the smart shortcut. Both meanings are deliberate. InvestHAQ is Australia's independent comparison and research platform for Shariah compliant investments: listed ETFs, unlisted managed funds and superannuation, presented side by side on a consistent basis so that a genuine comparison is finally possible.

Our foundation

What we are here for

Our purpose

To give Australian investors independent evidence about Shariah compliant investments - fees, performance and certification drawn from the regulated source documents, not from the organisation selling the product.

Our vision

To lift the standard of the entire Islamic finance ecosystem in Australia. Providers compete harder when performance and fees are independently visible, disclosure improves because what is disclosed becomes comparable, and capital flows to the products that earn it.

Comparing a mainstream product

Independent measurement
  • Research houses
  • Star ratings
  • Benchmark scorecards
  • Standardised fee comparisons across tens of thousands of products

Comparing a Shariah compliant fund

None of this
  • No research houses
  • No star ratings
  • No benchmark scorecards
  • No standardised fee comparison

Every figure about every halal financial product comes directly from the issuer of that product - the organisation with a commercial interest in the decision.

There is no shortage of good faith in this market. There is a shortage of independent evidence. InvestHAQ was built to supply it.

How InvestHAQ works

Every number on the platform can be traced back to a regulated document you can open yourself. Four steps, and nothing between them that a payment can reach.

  1. 1

    We read the source document

PDS, Information Memorandum, TMD, APRA filings and ASX announcements - the regulated record, not the marketing page.

  2. 2

    We normalise it

Fees onto one GST-inclusive basis, returns net of fees, benchmarks named and linked - so a super option, an active ETF and an unlisted fund sit side by side.

  3. 3

    We stamp the source

Every figure carries the document it came from and a "Last checked" date, shown next to the data itself.

  4. 4

You decide - we step back

We publish facts, never recommendations. Where you go next is your decision, and nothing we earn changes with it.

Our commitment

$0

is the most a fund manager can pay to move up this page, soften what we publish about them, or appear anywhere they have not earned. There is no larger figure.

Every other site comparing these funds is paid by the funds.

Offers we decline

  • Commission when you click through to a providerDeclined
  • Payment for editorial coverageDeclined
  • Paid placement in comparisons, sort order or rankingsDeclined
  • Ownership by, or affiliation with, any fund managerDeclined

InvestHAQ Pty Ltd - this commitment is reviewed whenever our commercial relationships change, and last on 14 August 2026.

How InvestHAQ makes money

Companies pay. You never do.

And nothing we earn depends on what you invest in. A comparison platform is only as trustworthy as its revenue model, so ours is published in full.

For investors

Free to use, permanently

$0 to compare, research and decide

  • Individuals are never charged to compare funds, read our research or use our tools
  • No subscription, no paywall, no premium tier on the data
  • No revenue from selling your personal information
  • We are not a product provider and conduct no investment activity

For providers

Flat, fixed fees only

Flat never a percentage of anything

  • All fees are flat and fixed - never a commission, and never a percentage of any amount invested
  • No payment can influence the data, rankings or comparison results, at any price
  • Every paid placement is labelled, and sits in a fixed position

Where our revenue comes from

These are the only three ways InvestHAQ is prepared to earn money. As at 14 August 2026 none of them is in place - no fund manager, adviser or provider currently pays us anything. We publish the model in advance so that the day the first arrangement begins, you can see it was governed by rules written before there was any money at stake.
Fund managers

Flat platform fees

Fund managers pay flat, fixed fees for their presence on the platform, including a set fee each time a user clicks through to the manager's website or documents. The fee is the same whether or not that person ever invests - a charge for the click, never a commission on an outcome.

Advisers & accountants

Listing fees

Advisers and accountants pay flat fees to be listed in our Find a Professional directory. Each is verified against the relevant public register before appearing, every listing carries a paid-listing disclosure, and payment never affects ordering beyond clearly labelled featured placements.

Providers

Sponsored articles

A provider may fund an article. Every sponsored article is clearly labelled as sponsored and passes the same editorial review and fact check as our own content. The sponsor can never alter the factual content, the figures, or the order of any comparison.

The register

So what does the money buy?

Nothing, because at present nobody pays us anything. InvestHAQ holds no commercial relationship with any fund manager, superannuation trustee or credit provider. The register below is empty, and that is a fact about the business, not a page still being built.

0commercial relationships as at 14 August 2026 - nothing withheld, nothing summarised
Conflicts of Interest Register
ProviderWhat they pay forSince
Every fund manager, trustee and credit provider on this platformNothing. No relationship of any kind.-

If that ever changes, the relationship appears here the day it begins - named, with what it covers and when it started. This register is read live by the notice shown before you leave for a provider's site - the same record, not a copy of it, so an entry cannot exist in one place and not the other.

Last reviewed: 14 August 2026. Maintained by the business through the admin console - not hard coded.

Methodology

How we read a fund, in full

Every fund on this site is put through the same four questions, in the same order. Where an answer cannot be sourced we publish that it cannot, rather than estimating it.

  1. Shariah screening

For each fund we record whether it uses a documented Shariah screening method (Yes / No / Unclear), which standard is applied (AAOIFI, MSCI Islamic, S&P Shariah, FTSE Yasaar, Dow Jones Islamic, or a custom approach), and a link to the certifying document where available. We do not adjudicate between standards.

  2. Performance and benchmarks

Returns shown are net of fees, as disclosed by the fund manager. Where the benchmark is a commercially licensed index (MSCI, S&P, Bloomberg, FTSE Yasaar) we display only the index name and link to the licensor's factsheet - we do not republish index values. CPI- and RBA-based benchmarks are calculated against ABS / RBA public data.

  3. Fees normalisation

All fees are presented on a GST-inclusive basis. Where a fund discloses fees ex-GST, we apply a 10% GST adjustment and footnote the conversion. Where a fund does not disclose a single Total Cost Ratio figure, we show the components individually and the headline Total Cost Ratio as "Not disclosed" - we do not calculate or estimate it.

  4. Data sources and refresh

Listed ETFs are refreshed daily. Unlisted retail and wholesale funds quarterly. Superannuation funds quarterly. Each fund profile shows a "Last checked" date adjacent to the data. Source documents include the fund's PDS, IM, TMD, and the fund manager's website. Some figures are supplied to us directly by the fund manager. We publish them as supplied, with the date received, and do not audit them.

Do we have a Shariah Advisory Board? No

InvestHAQ does not have a Shariah Advisory Board and does not issue Shariah rulings. We are a data platform, not a certifier. What we publish is what each fund's own certifying body has determined, the standard it was assessed against, and a link to that certificate where one is available. Whether a given standard satisfies you is a question for you and the scholars you trust - and we would be overstepping to answer it.

Our journey

The regulatory path, stated honestly

Including what is not yet permitted. Later stages carry no date, because none has been confirmed and no licensing milestone should carry an invented one.

  1. Stage 1Today

    Platform live - information only

Comparison, research and education for retail and wholesale investors. InvestHAQ provides factual information only, does not provide financial product advice (general or personal), holds no Australian Financial Services Licence, and opens its conflicts register with no commercial relationships at all.

  2. Stage 2

    Corporate Authorised Representative

The platform intends to operate as a Corporate Authorised Representative of a licensee, allowing a defined set of authorised activities beyond factual information. The authorising licensee and the scope will be published here and in the Financial Services Guide before anything changes.Forward looking. No CAR appointment is currently held and no timing is committed.

  3. Stage 3

Our own Australian Financial Services Licence

Subject to InvestHAQ obtaining its own AFSL and the authorisations under it, investors would be able to apply for and transact in selected products directly through the platform.Forward looking. Timing and availability are subject to licensing and are not a commitment.

One thing will not change

Our fees will remain flat and fixed, never linked to what you invest or how much. The independence that makes InvestHAQ worth using today is the same independence we will carry into everything we build next.

Sources & standards

We are not partnered with the funds we compare

A comparison site's logo wall usually shows who pays it. Ours shows what we read - the regulated documents behind every figure, and the certification standards we record against each fund without adjudicating between them.

Index names are shown for identification only - we link to the licensor's factsheet and do not republish licensed index values. Registers are used to verify professional listings before they appear in the directory.

Our values

What we stand for

Independence is the structure of the business, not a slogan on a page. These four values are the test we apply to every product decision, and they spell the promise in our name.

T

ransparency

Every commercial relationship we hold is named on a public register, and every figure carries the document it came from. If we cannot show you where a number came from, we do not publish it.

R

igour

We read the regulated document, not the marketing page. Where a fund does not disclose a figure, we say "not disclosed" rather than estimate it.

U

sefulness

A comparison only helps if it is genuinely like for like. We normalise fees, returns and benchmarks so the comparison is real, and we write in plain English.

E

vidence

We publish facts, not recommendations, and we hold no view about which standard of Shariah screening is correct. That judgement belongs to you and your scholars.
