Islamic Relief Australia belongs to Islamic Relief Worldwide, an international humanitarian family of 15 member organisations dedicated to fighting poverty and alleviating suffering. Its stated vision: "a world where communities are empowered, social obligations are fulfilled and people respond as one to the suffering of others."
The Australian organisation has held DGR endorsement since 2010 per the ABR, is an ACFID member holding fundraising licences across six states and territories, and runs zakat, orphan sponsorship, Ramadan and emergency relief programs.
