About
MAA International (formerly Muslim Aid Australia) is an international relief and development agency that, in its own words, "believes in supporting and assisting the world's poorest and most needy communities regardless of race, religion, or nationality". Since 1989 it has supported projects in more than 50 countries across Africa, Asia and Europe.
MAA is DFAT-accredited and an ACFID member, and publishes an annual report on how funds are allocated; it states its financial statements are audited internally and externally each year. Long-term programs cover education and training, clean water, healthcare and orphan sponsorship, alongside emergency response.
