About
MATW Project (Muslims Around The World) was founded in 2015 by Sydney businessman Ali Banat, who dedicated his wealth to charity after a terminal cancer diagnosis. What began with projects in Togo grew into an Australian-headquartered international relief organisation working across Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
The charity operates a stated 100 per cent donation policy. Programs include water wells, orphan care, housing for widows and children, and emergency response; the charity states most, but not all, of its projects are zakat-compliant.
