About
National Zakat Foundation has collected and distributed zakat wholly within Australia since 2013, operating across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Darwin. Its recipients are Muslims in hardship here: people facing homelessness, domestic violence, eviction and medical crisis.
The foundation publishes individual distribution records as they happen, and runs zakat services year-round: a calculator, consultations, masterclasses and a zakat questions hotline. It accepts zakat, sadaqah, fidyah and tainted-wealth (interest) donations.
