How have Australian halal funds performed against their benchmarks?
Results are reported fund by fund against each fund's own stated benchmark, net of fees, with the period and basis labelled. There is no single answer for the category.
Reporting rules applied to every figure:
- Sub-one-year figures are labelled cumulative period returns, never annualised
- Multi-year figures are labelled annualised where that is what they are
- CPI-linked benchmarks use the ABS CPI series, on the additive convention, stated on the profile
- Comparison is against the fund's own benchmark - not the broad market, which measures the screen rather than the manager
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
