Can I tell my employer which super fund to pay into?
In most cases yes. Choice-of-fund rules let most Australian employees nominate the fund their employer pays contributions into.
You do it by giving your employer a standard superannuation standard choice form with your fund's details, which the fund or the ATO can supply.
Exceptions
Some employees covered by particular enterprise agreements or workplace determinations, and members of some defined-benefit schemes, do not have choice. Your fund or the ATO can confirm which applies to you.
