Can payment affect a Transparency Score, comparison result or search order?
No. This is the safeguard the whole platform rests on.
No payment, relationship or commercial discussion can alter:
- Any displayed data point
- The Transparency Score, or the methodology behind it
- The default sort order of any list
- The outcome of a factual comparison
- Whether a disclosure gap is shown
Any sponsored placement, if one is ever introduced, will be labelled as such and visually separated from editorial results. The conflicts register records every commercial relationship we hold.
